Meta AI is geo-restricted in the European Union and European Economic Area due to objections from the Irish Data Protection Commission regarding Meta's use of European users' public social media posts to train Llama models. Users in the EU/EEA will see this message on meta.ai and will not find the Meta AI entry point in WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook even with an up-to-date app. The feature is also on limited rollout outside the US, Canada, and UK even in technically supported regions.
