Perplexity: Internal Error / Return Home Loop

Perplexity shows a "Return Home" redirect and "Internal Error" when the application's authentication session has partially expired — the login technically exists but the session token is invalid, so Perplexity rejects requests silently and redirects the user in a loop. This is different from a full server outage. The "Return Home" loop specifically is almost always authentication-related rather than a platform-wide failure.
