What Murf AI actually offers students
Murf's help center and its educators page spell it out: 20% off for students, teachers, educational institutions and non-profits. On yearly plans it applies to the first annual subscription; on monthly plans it covers the first six months. There is no public code. You create an account, start the free trial, then email community@murf.ai from your official institutional address with proof issued by your school. Murf replies within about 24 hours with a coupon tied to your account.
How to claim the Murf AI student discount
- Create a Murf account with your official school email and start the free trial (10 minutes of voiceover + transcription).
- Email community@murf.ai from that institutional address with your student ID or proof of enrollment.
- Receive your personal 20% coupon, then subscribe.
The gotchas worth knowing
- The coupon is personal and short-lived. It works for one account and expires in about a week - subscribe promptly after it arrives.
- Six-month cap on monthly plans. After the discounted window, monthly billing reverts to full price; the yearly plan keeps 20% off for the whole year.
If you are not eligible - the cheaper route
Murf's free trial gives 10 minutes of voice generation and 10 minutes of transcription - enough to test voices before paying anything.
And if what you actually need is AI help across the board - writing, research, images, video, coding - a single-tool discount is still a single tool. Krater's student offer takes 15% off for a year on a workspace that bundles 500+ models for a flat $20/month list price. Compare Murf AI's full pricing with Krater's plans before deciding.
