Do credits roll over?
Monthly plan credits do not roll over — they reset on your billing date. Top-up credits you buy separately never expire and always roll over.
Monthly plan credits — reset every cycle
Each plan includes a credit allowance per billing cycle:
Plan
Monthly credits
Pro
1,500
Ultra
4,000
Max
10,000 (up to 100,000 with higher tiers at checkout)
Credits reset on your billing date — the day of the month your subscription renews.
Unused credits expire when the cycle ends, and your balance refills to the full plan amount. Use them or lose them.
Yearly plans reset monthly too. Paying yearly changes what you pay, not how often credits refresh.
Your exact reset date shows in Settings → Plan under your balance (“Resets in N days”).
Top-up credits — never expire
One-time credit purchases work differently:
Never expire. They stay in your account indefinitely and carry over every cycle.
Spent only after your monthly credits run out.
Available on Ultra and Max in Settings → Plan: 500–100,000 credits per purchase, with volume pricing from $1.21 down to $1.00 per 100 credits — the more you buy, the cheaper each credit.
Team workspaces can buy bulk credits at a flat $1.00 per 100 credits (minimum 50,000). See Teams.
Which credits are used first?
Krater always spends your soonest-expiring credits first:
Monthly credits — from your subscription, expire at cycle end
Top-up credits — only once monthly credits are gone
If you’re a team member, the shared team pool is used before your personal balance.
Example: Ultra plus a top-up
You’re on Ultra (4,000 monthly credits) and bought a 500-credit top-up:

The 300 purchased credits carried into the new month. The monthly allowance refilled to 4,000 — the unused 800 from last cycle are gone.
Upgrading or letting your plan lapse
Upgrading mid-cycle resets your used counter immediately, so you get the new plan’s full allowance right away — not a prorated amount.
Cancelling keeps full access until the end of your paid period. After that your account drops to the free tier: paid features stop, but your top-up balance stays on your account and becomes spendable again when you resubscribe to any paid plan.
Running low mid-cycle?
Buy a top-up (Ultra/Max) — credits land instantly and never expire.
Upgrade your plan — a bigger monthly allowance, effective immediately.
