Zendesk AI and Intercom Fin are embedded in those platforms and bill per-resolution or per-seat on top of the platform license. You stay in control of every reply, and one Krater seat covers your whole AI usage for $20-119/month.
Yes — via the OpenAI-compatible API at api.krater.ai. Most major helpdesks (Zendesk, Intercom, Front, Help Scout) support plugging in custom AI endpoints. Same models, same credits.
Not by default — Krater drafts, you approve. For high-volume queues, the API + your helpdesk's automation can auto-send for very-low-risk responses, but we recommend keeping humans in the loop for anything involving refunds, account changes, or escalation.
Krater does not train on user data and processes data only to serve your queries. For PII-heavy support work, our Enterprise plan adds DPA, EU hosting, and dedicated security review. We recommend redacting account numbers and sensitive data from prompts as standard practice.
The underlying models (Claude Opus 4, GPT-5, Gemini 3 Pro) handle 50+ languages at native or near-native fluency. Krater's own UI ships in 19 languages. For support teams covering global markets, this typically replaces both a translation budget and a multilingual hiring constraint.
