How to Cancel Gemini (Google One AI Plan)

Cancel on the web (Google One / Google account)
- Go to myaccount.google.com (or one.google.com) and log in.
- Open Payments and subscriptions, then Manage subscription next to your Google One or AI plan.
- Choose Cancel membership or Cancel subscription and confirm. Your plan reverts to the free tier at the end of the billing period.
Cancel on Android
- Open Google Play, tap your profile icon, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions.
- Find the Google One or Gemini plan and tap Cancel subscription.
Cancel on iPhone
- Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- If Gemini appears (app-store subscription), tap it and Cancel Subscription. If it does not appear, your plan is billed through Google: use the web steps above.
The gotchas that trip people up
- The AI plan is a Google One tier. Cancelling drops you to the free storage tier. If your files exceed the free 15GB, Drive and Gmail go into over-quota restrictions until you clean up or resubscribe.
- Uninstalling the Gemini app does not cancel. Billing lives on the Google account.
- Family plan members cannot cancel individually. The Google One plan owner controls cancellation.
