How to delete your HeyGen account
- Cancel the plan first: heygen.com > Settings > Billing > Cancel subscription.
- Go to Settings > Account.
- Scroll to "Delete account" and confirm, or email support@heygen.com to request deletion.
- Download any videos you want to keep before deleting — they are removed with the account.

Before you delete
- Video files are deleted with the account — download exports first.
- Team workspaces: the workspace owner must transfer ownership or delete the workspace separately.
- A pending billing period does not refund on deletion.
What happens after you delete
Account deletion removes avatars, videos and templates permanently.

Can I recover my HeyGen account after deleting it?
No. Deletion is permanent on HeyGen. A few products (X, Microsoft) hold the account in a deactivated state for about 30 days first, but once the window closes it cannot be restored.
Do I get a refund when I delete my account?
Deleting the account does not trigger a refund. Cancel the subscription first and check HeyGen's refund policy — most AI products do not refund unused time.
