How to delete your Runway account

1. Cancel the plan: runwayml.com > Workspace Settings > Plans & Billing > Cancel.
2. Go to Account settings > "Delete account" or email support@runwayml.com.
3. Export generated videos and assets first — cloud assets are removed with the account.

• Unused credits do not refund on deletion.
• Workspace admins should transfer or delete workspaces separately.
• Any API integrations stop working immediately.

What happens after you delete

Deletion removes your projects, assets and generation history permanently.

Deleting removes your account; it does not get you a refund for the current billing period. If you are leaving because of the price, there is a cheaper way to keep the same capability.

Can I recover my Runway account after deleting it?

No. Deletion is permanent on Runway. A few products (X, Microsoft) hold the account in a deactivated state for about 30 days first, but once the window closes it cannot be restored.

Do I get a refund when I delete my account?

Deleting the account does not trigger a refund. Cancel the subscription first and check Runway's refund policy — most AI products do not refund unused time.

Is deleting the same as cancelling?

No. Cancelling stops future billing but keeps your account and history. Deleting removes the account entirely. Most people should cancel first, keep using the free tier until the period ends, then delete.
