How to Cancel Luma Dream Machine
Sign in at lumalabs.ai (Dream Machine), open your profile Billing/Subscription settings and cancel - the plan runs to the end of the period. Access runs to the end of the paid period. Steps, refund rules, gotchas and what to use instead.
On the web (lumalabs.ai)
- Sign in at lumalabs.ai and open Dream Machine.
- Go to profile > Billing / Subscription.
- Choose Cancel subscription and confirm.
What happens after you cancel
- Paid features run until the end of the paid period.
- Your generated videos stay in the gallery.
- Unused generations do not carry over or refund; the free daily tier continues.
Refund policy
Luma does not advertise partial refunds and treats a paid period as final once it starts; EU and UK customers keep the 14-day withdrawal right. For a mistaken renewal, ask support within days.
The gotchas that trip people up
- Generation pools expire monthly. The monthly allowance does not roll over.
- Queue priority is the real product. Free tier waits are long; cancelling means slower generations, not fewer features.
Why people actually cancel
Three reasons come up over and over in the threads complaining about this:
- Credits drain on iteration. Nailing one clip takes several tries and the pool is gone.
- Alternatives multiplied. Kling, Veo, Seedance and Pika all chase the same prompt.
- You generated occasionally. The free tier covers casual use.
If that is why you are leaving
If the reason is cost or juggling, the answer is not another single-tool subscription, it is consolidation. Krater Pro is $20 a month and runs Luma-class video models alongside Kling, Veo, Seedance and 500+ other models in one workspace. Browse the full model list. Teams get 5 seats on Max for $119 flat instead of per-seat billing.
The free tier keeps a limited daily generation allowance.
