How to Cancel ElevenLabs
Sign in at elevenlabs.io, click your profile icon > Subscription > Manage subscription, then cancel in the billing portal. Paid features stay until the period ends. Steps for every platform, refund rules and what to use instead.
On the web (elevenlabs.io)
- Sign in at elevenlabs.io.
- Click your profile icon > Subscription.
- Choose Manage subscription, then Cancel plan in the billing portal.
What happens after you cancel
- You keep the paid tier until the period ends.
- Monthly character credits reset - unused credits do not carry over.
- Generated audio stays in your history; the commercial license for content made while subscribed remains valid.
Refund policy
ElevenLabs does not offer partial refunds; the plan simply runs out. For an accidental renewal, contact support quickly.
The gotchas that trip people up
- I still see charges after canceling Usage-based overage can be billed separately from the plan. Check the billing portal for a second subscription or API usage.
Why people actually cancel
Three reasons come up over and over in the threads complaining about this:
- Subscription fatigue. You are paying for ElevenLabs plus one or two other AI tools and the bills stack up past $60 a month.
- A new model came out somewhere else. A new release lands at another lab and your ElevenLabs sub only buys you one tool.
- You barely used the paid tier. The free or occasional-use path covers what you actually needed.
If that is why you are leaving
If the reason is cost or juggling, the answer is not another single-tool subscription, it is consolidation. Krater Pro is $20 a month and includes voice and audio models inside Krater alongside 500+ models, plus image and video generation, voice mode and document work in one workspace. Browse the full model list. Teams get 5 seats on Max for $119 flat instead of per-seat billing.
A free tier remains with a small monthly credit allowance and attribution requirement.
