How to Cancel CapCut Pro
CapCut Pro billing runs through wherever you subscribed - App Store, Google Play or the CapCut web account. Cancel in the same place you paid. Access runs to the end of the paid period. Steps for every platform, refund rules and what to use instead.
If you subscribed on iPhone (App Store)
- Open iPhone Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select CapCut and tap Cancel Subscription.
If you subscribed on Android (Google Play)
- Open the Play Store, tap your profile icon.
- Go to Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- Select CapCut and tap Cancel subscription.
If you subscribed on the web (capcut.com)
- Sign in at capcut.com and open your profile.
- Go to Account settings > Subscription.
- Choose Cancel subscription and confirm.
What happens after you cancel
- Pro effects, AI tools and cloud storage run until the end of the paid period.
- Drafts and projects stay on your device and in the cloud; you keep editing on the free tier.
- Some Pro-only assets in saved drafts show watermarks on export after you downgrade.
Refund policy
CapCut does not refund unused time directly. App Store and Google Play charges are refunded by Apple and Google under their own rules - Apple usually honours requests made within a few days of an accidental renewal via reportaproblem.apple.com.
The gotchas that trip people up
- Cancelling in the app does nothing for store billing. If you paid through the App Store, the CapCut app's own account page cannot cancel it - go through iPhone Settings.
- Prices differ by platform. The web price and the store price are different; whichever channel you used is the one you cancel.
